1. Who we are

2. The service
Dearling turns your photo into a design in one of three ceramic traditions: Delft Blue, Portuguese azulejo or Spanish talavera. The designs are created with artificial intelligence (AI). You choose the design; we have it printed on a real ceramic tile and delivered — to you, or as a gift to someone else. We deliver within the Netherlands.
3. Your photos and designs stay yours
Your photos are and remain your property, as do the tile designs we create from them. You grant us only the licence needed to process your photo, create your design and have your tile printed — nothing more. We never use your photos for advertising or for training AI models.
4. What you may upload
Only upload photos you are allowed to use. Not permitted: photos of others without their consent, protected trademarks or characters, and inappropriate imagery. The app checks for this and may refuse a photo; repeated abuse may lead us to restrict the service for your device.
5. Painting and credits
Your first photos are painted in all three styles for free. After that, each painted tile costs one credit. You get some credits for free, and extra credits with an order. You can buy more credits in the app through Apple. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. For a refund of a credit purchase, contact Apple; Apple handles it under its own terms.
6. Ordering, payment and delivery
You pay by Apple Pay when you place your order. Prices include VAT; shipping costs are shown separately before you pay. The expected delivery time is shown at checkout. A discount code applies to the tile and its extras only, not to shipping.
7. Cancelling and right of withdrawal
You can cancel an order in the app as long as the parcel has not been shipped. You then get your money back. Every tile is made specifically for you, from your photo. Under European consumer law (art. 16(c) Directive 2011/83/EU) the right of withdrawal therefore does not apply to these personalised products. If something is wrong with your tile — damaged in transit, printing fault — we will of course put it right. Email support@dearlinggift.nl.
8. The gallery
You can share a tile in the public gallery in the app. You do this yourself, per tile, and you can withdraw it at any time. Shared tiles appear in the gallery only after we have checked them. Other users can report a tile; we may remove a tile from the gallery if it does not comply with these terms.
9. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount of your order, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits rights you hold as a consumer under mandatory law.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. For any material change we will ask for your agreement again before you craft a new tile.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If we cannot resolve a dispute together, you may go to the competent court in the Netherlands; as a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence.
